Base Structure Reports are the best available government data on the size, shape and scale of the network of bases. We have collected and cleaned as many as we could.
FY2024 Base Structure Report
Base Structure Reports are not published with any geospatial data, meaning that any researchers hoping to map the spread of US military bases must use generalized locations.
In an attempt to remedy this, we have applied latitude and longitude coordinates to as many of the sites listed on the 2024 Base Structure Report as possible.
